Bret K. Johnson, Ph.D. is a Licensed Psychologist with a Private Practice in Santa Cruz & Santa Clara, California. His practice has focused on Strength-Based Psychotherapy Approaches and Depth Psychology since 1988. He has taught multiple courses at John F. Kennedy University since 1991 including Psychopathology, Testing and Assessment, Gay, Lesbian, & Bisexual Psychotherapy, Positive & Strength-Based Approaches (new/upcoming Fall 2007) & Continuing Education Courses in Domestic Violence & HIV/AIDS.
Dr. Johnson is also a mediator and evaluator for Santa Cruz County Superior Court. He has studied Jungian Psychology in such interesting places as a California Mission and at the Jung Institute in Switzerland.
Dr. Johnson is an avid traveler and has been journeying to the Hawaiian Islands over the past several decades, now making multiple sojourns to the Big Island each year to seek, explore, and rejuvenate through the Aloha spirit.
Vikki L. Catellacci, MA, MFT. Vikki is a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
with a private practice in Kamuela, Hawaii. Her clinical work has focused
primarily on children, adolescents, and their families and her areas of expertise
include childhood bereavement, childhood trauma, and family therapy. Vikki utilizes
Jungian based Sandplay Therapy, Play Therapy and Art Therapy. She participated
in the planning and implementation of Hawaii Island’s first bereavement camp for
children with Hospice of Hilo, now in it’s fifth year. Vikki helped pilot
the University of Hawaii-Hilo “Psychology and the
Expressive Arts” class and continues to guest lecture this course.
Vikki obtained a Master’s degree in Art Therapy from The Goddard Graduate Program, and obtained her Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Argosy University. She furthered her Sandplay studies in Switzerland with Dora Kalff, the originator of Sandplay and undertook course work at the Jungian Institute in Zurich. Vikki is a professional member of the American Play Therapy Association, Hawaii Association of Play Therapy, Sandplay Therapists of America, Hawaii Sandplay Council, and the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.
